Answers:



2305. A rifling machine for making grooves in gun barrels, the grooves impart a spin to the bullet that gyroscopically stabilizes it.

On the wall behind it was a display that had a part from another rifling machine, some unfinished gun stocks, and an unfinished barrel.

2306. An M-216B Can Wrench and Screwdriver for use on electrical equipment, patent number 1,318,088:

  1. 2305: Not sure, but it looks like a jig for cutting rifiling grooves into rifle barrels that I saw at Williamsburg Colonial Park.
    2307: I'd wager that it is for holding sheet music that has been printed onto a roll and slowly advancing it with the clockwork mechanism. This would obviate the musicians having to turn the pages while trying to play.

    Correct, though this one was in Tennessee

    These three are all correct.

  6. 2306 looks mor like a carborator adjusting tool for turning the adjusting srews between a bank of carbs and tightning the lock nut while holding the set screw. Similar but modern:

  9. This function at a respectful distance. I very much hope that this function can be like original design that rich game elements, but before that I refuse to spend a gold coin in the forging.
